Blairquhan Castle

 

 

Spend the night in  Blairquhan Castle which featured in the 2006 Oscar winning film The Queen, starring Helen Mirren. Situated in Maybole, the castle has fifteen luxury bedrooms to choose from, each with views of the grounds and Ayrshire countryside. There are also stunning walled gardens and 200 acres of parkland to explore. It’s certainly fit for a Queen!

Ardverikie Estate

 

Ardverikie Estate has appeared in Monarch of the Glen, Mrs Brown starring Judi Dench and Outlander to name just a few. Set in 38,000 acres of incredible scenery in Newtonmore, there are 6 holiday cottages on site to choose from, sleeping from 3 to 13 people, but our favourite is Gatelodge! It’s the grand entrance to the estate and features a fairytale turret and spiral staircase making it the perfect romantic getaway spot.

Fenton Tower

You may know it as Archie’s Castle in Balamory, but it’s actually the luxury Fenton Tower near North Berwick. Rent the castle for up to thirteen people on an exclusive use basis or book one of their seven beautiful bedrooms for an overnight bed and breakfast stay, including the Garret Suite at the top of the tower. It has its own private seating area outside on the battlements where you can see for miles!
